As I captured the view from an extreme long shot perspective, a breathtaking sight unfolded before my eyes – a Glass City on the Moon, stretching as far as the eye could see. Inspired by the renowned photographer Saul Leiter, I aimed to portray urban perspectives in a new light, and the delicately nuanced colors of Kodak Portra 160NC film were my chosen tool for this artistic endeavor.
The pastel hues of the cityscape danced like a symphony, painting a scene that was both ethereal and captivating. With a 1/60s f/5.6 exposure, every detail was brought to life, capturing the leisurely beauty that permeated the moment.
Using the Hasselblad SWC camera, I aimed to capture the simplicity of the moment – to harmonize the poetic vision of Paul Strand with the blossoming spirit of spring on the moon. The Hasselblad’s precision and clarity allowed me to convey the essence of the scene with unparalleled authenticity.
In this glass city, every corner seemed to hold a story, every building whispered secrets of a thriving lunar civilization. The artistry of the architectural design was a testament to human ingenuity and imagination, and the soft pastel hues added an element of whimsy and serenity.
As the glass towers reached for the sky, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the delicate fragility of life, standing tall against the barren lunar landscape. The scene was a reminder of the potential for beauty and creativity, even in the most unexpected of places.
